What what? I was in the mall a couple of days ago, I had this blush in mind based on some reviews I had read. Macs Dollymix. It’s a sheertone blush.
Product Description: Sheer tone shimmer blush.
The Pitch: This blush might initially seem an eyeful for the weak-hearted, but it’s a gorgeous 80s vibrant pink that does not apply as heavy as it seems in the pan. It’s gives a blueish- sliver sheen, not too shiny either. I use it with a fan brush, so I don’t pick up as heavy product. A little goes a long way for this baby. A very blend-able medium to work with, goes on smoothly as all sheertone finishes by Mac do. Definitely a fun color, I’ve seen light and deep toned divas use this blush, both looking equally stunning in them. Albeit, I would warn the lighter toned beauties to be easy on the hand while using this blush, or it could show up very disco-esque on you!
The Good News:
- Easy to Apply
- Beautiful finish once it’s blended into place
- Staying power was great! ( about 6- 8 hrs on me )
- Very slight shimmer to it.
- Love the smooth texture during application and finished look.
The Bad News:
- Expensive
- Might be overwhelming if used with a heavy hand.
My conclusions: I love it, I usually use it for the summer to give me the perfect sun-kissed-pink look on my skin tone. In the end, this product did what I wanted it to do. You can use it with a tapered blush brush or a fan- brush.
